I do not listen to Rush Limbaugh. I would not subject myself to his filthy mouth and hatefulness but I am still subjected to it by listening to the news. This man must be taken of the air. He is vile.

Does it ever occurr to you that having a 2 million plus audience might have anything to do with why he’s still on the air. No doubt, you would just say that we all must be “so uneducated” but then you would be wrong again. Do your homework, please.

Many of us use birth control not for contraceptive purposes but to help alleviate the uncontrollable pain during our menses. It is unfortunate if any ignorant people are buying into his statements that may prevent someone close to them from accessing the medical treatment they need. I don’t consume many of the advertisers products listed above but I will find a way to let them know they’re backing the wrong team – at least in this consumer’s eyes.

Ironically, I never listened to him for years because I had HEARD about his supposed “filthy mouth and hatefulness.” When I looked – it wasn’t there. You have no right to judge anything you do not have direct knowledge of . I used to be just as wrong as you are now. I would like to one day appologise for my smearing his name and I am confident that he would forgive me because I think he would realise that sometimes people make mistakes. If everyone is so unwilling to accept his appology then what you are saying is that anytime you do anything wrong, you don’t deserve to be forgiven either. This is obviously all politically motivated because his show is so popular with Conservatives. (I’m a registered Democrat, byt the way). You and all the others might want to question why you have been lied to for so many years about this man. If you people really and truly hated hate speech you would have acted long ago on the huge list of people who spew constant filth on TV the radio and the Internet. At least do your homework and look it up.

Rush did not repeat her statements, she was talking about a friend of hers who needed birth control pills for a medical condition. I also suffered from such a condition until I had a hysterectomy. She wasn’t discussing her own sex life. Now let’s talk about being undereducated. Do you know the difference between an “s” and a “z”? How many P’s are there in apologize? You are the one who isn’t listening. You are the one who has no right to judge anyone. It’s obvious from your responses that you only heard RL’s rantings. The fact is that we do very little radio advertising (and none currently). When we do, we do not buy spots on any specific shows. We buy random blocks of time for short 15- or 30-second commercials. The commercials could run anywhere, anytime.
We do not endorse Mr. Limbaugh, and to my knowledge he has never endorsed our stores.

I was impressed with Auto Zone’s response. They had their employees watch Ms. Fluke’s comments to the all male committee and RL’s filthy comments about her and the “feminazi’s!” They wanted their employees to be informed and understand why people would be calling in, angry. He read a prepared statement and said he personally was appalled at RL’s vile comments and that his company is just not like that. They are doing all they can to make sure their ads are not played on RL’s show. A couple of other companies read prepared statements denouncing RL and have taken action to stop their ads from airing on RL’s show! I would like to see a non-partisan group create a petition to remove RL and his hate mongering filth, from the air, permanently. American’s, Republican or Democrat, need to work to heal and unite this country. American women, we are a strong voice in this country. We purchase for ourselves, households and family. We vote. Any elected official who supports RL’s comments on this unfortunate situation, should not be re-elected. I have never called sponsors to let them know I would be boycotting their service or product because they sponsor an objectionable person. This was a vile, filthy, and perverted attack on all women, not just Ms. Fluke. In recent headlines, a man, was in prison for voyeurism, the same behavior that RL commanded of Ms. Fluke. Really? It is time to take a stand and say no more to RL.

I called 16 local RL advertisers today that had ads on RL at the beginning of the week that DID NOT have ads on Rl’s show today! 16! Isn’t that amazing! They were so happy to receive a polite thank you! I hope we can keep the momentum going and get him off the airways. I also hope to disallow his induction into the Hall of Famous Missourians. The thought of him there is appalling!

I would understand that the companies that are left would like to expand and have a worldwide presence (if they do not already) so why would you sponsor a person like Rush and risk tainting your own image.
If you won’t pull the plug on this walking, talking assault on civility for moral reasons then do it for finacial.

He did not comment on contraception but made a false, slanderous, indecent, ill-informed comment about Miss Fluke and in turn, all women. His perverted command for her to provide sex videos, of herself, to him, on the internet, crossed the line on human decency and hopefully is enough for the FCC to kick his sorry self off the airways. I am so ticked at Clear Channel. So much for one of my favorite radio stations and it’s sponsors! Let’s slam them with calls, emails, facebook comments, letters. I’ve never picketed anything in my life but I’m close! They totally ignored the point of the complaints and are totally rubbing their lack of accountability in our faces! Shame on Rush! One could deduce that WRNO’s personal polices are in strict alignment with Mr. Limbaugh’s vile, careless, vulgar form of “BULLY RADIO.” This “RUSH RADIO” branding is not unique to New Orleans, WRNO. Many other Clear Channel stations have assumed this brand. Only boycotting Mr. Limbaugh’s direct advertisers does very little when the purveyors of such vile and divisive programming go unscathed. Consumers should be wary of “Foxes running the hen house.” If gun is fired, killing someone, is the gun the sole culprit, or should you consider including the person pulling the triger?

I listened to RL’s show (only for 1 hr., thank you Cardinal baseball for preempting the last 2 hours!) yesterday and listed all the local sponsors. Most local sponsors were reeling from all the calls. They were very apologetic and were working with KMOX to make sure their ads did not appear on RL’s hate show. Oreck returned my call and profusely apologized and said they are working to remove their ads from RL. When the late news announced the bust of rl going into our state house, I knew I would be on the phone and internet today to stop this from happening and continue to call sponsors. Missouri school children visit this Hall of Fame and as a retired teacher it just goes against everything I believe. Rush is the biggest bully….we work to help students be kind to each other and not be bullies. Rush is the most divisive figure in America….we teach students to work together, teamwork, a skill needed in today’s American workforce. Rush is a racist….we work with students to celebrate each other and their cultures. Rush hates women….we teach students to respect each other, male and female. Rush is a drug addict…..we DARE to teach kids to stay away from drugs. Rush’s comments last week were derogatory sexual comments, ignorant of the facts of the issue to be commented on……we teach students to run away, tell a safe adult. Why put this man in the state capital? He’s made tons of money for all these behaviors? He is a loud mouth demon? What POSITIVE character traits does this man have to offer? NONE! What a disgrace.

Do this with an occupy type protest at or near these stations. Use signs showing the local advertisers supporting the limbaugh show. Publish lists of local business’ who support the local station. Call them and ask them to buy ads with other stations.

He has definitely been waging a war on women….today, more of the same. It really takes 3-4 hours a day to do this, plus I called my state representative and Missouri Speaker of the House to protest RL being inducted into the Hall of Famous Missourians. I hope we can overturn this guy’s decision. I also called CBS locally and in New York today to ask them to pull RL from their stations. One local advertiser I called returned my call today. It was their director of marketing and he has been working the last 2 days with KMOX radio’s marketing dept. He took 70 affiliates ads on RL off today. He thanked me for my call and my concern. It’s so nice to hear from such nice, decent people. Another local company called me back and they too have removed their adds. He also was very nice. It’s nice to have some positive response. Only 3 have been negative but they did thank me for being polite when I called. I was disappointed this story was not still in the news today. With Super Tuesday and big news locally…..complaints about RL were cut. I work tomorrow so I will not be able to fight the fight for human decency and removing RL from the airways tomorrow. I’ll be back at it Thursday.
